ADL was founded November 29, 1996. Its vision is the implementation of participatory development projects, the promotion of human resources and research-education in local development. The main objective for ADL is the reduction of poverty in the Tanant area;

Concerning natural resource management, ADL main activities are:

• Development of organic agriculture;
• Reduction of the pressure on the forests by advertising the use of butane;
• Soil and forest management.
